We got back to this beautiful place, along with cousin Angelo (who is getting so big!)
Not only is it a great place for a toddler to run off his energy Рbut a great place to find flowers cascading over walls and get some last warm-weather strolling in.  Although as the sun went down, so did the temperatures.

After Ezra’s birthday we went to visit Uncle Carl and Aunt Tricia, who have now purchased a house in Yonkers, NY! Lucky for us the new house is just blocks from Untermeyer Gardens Conservancy where we can view lots of gorgeous garden ideas, the Palisades and the Hudson River.

Well the little ones returned to LegoLand again – this time to the LegoLand in Yonkers NY. While there aren’t as many ‘big rides’ as there were in the Florida location, there are still lots of fun stations to build in. Ezra finally got to spend some solid time making and racing some lego cars, and Zoe met a BFF in the movie theater! And look – you can enter to try to win the VIP treatment and trip for 4 to LegoLand Florida by clicking here!

If you remember a while back my brother married in Florida. His wife Tricia has a family who lives not too far from us near Yonkers, NY. They invited us to sit in their garden and eat a lunch like they do when they spend their summers in Italy: al fresco. The tomatoes were amazing – and their garden has copious amounts of little peppers that Ezra insisted on eating right off the plant (and then drinking a gallon of milk to take the burn out!) Tricia’s dad was so impressed that he wants to “keep him for a week” to help with gardening and to enjoy the vegetables; an invitation that E will never turn down! And Zoe loved eating figs right off of the tree.

For now (sadly September is over but..) I’ve been inspired to enjoy all the tomato dishes I can. And that mozzarella – I have to find some of that fresh mozzarella from Stew Leonard’s – buono!
