I love that the city put in these amazing cherry blossom trees on our block.  For one brief week in the spring we get trees full of pink flowers and then – bam – it’s like someone sneezes and they all fall off the trees all at once!  Nothing like a blanket of pink petals under your feel.  Even Louie is afraid to soil it.

Meanwhile Zoe is prepping to be a ‘Lost Boy’ in her school’s upcoming “Peter Pan” play.. we’ve been working on adding scraps of fur and twigs to her costume (but of course she wants it to be ‘glamorous’ at the same time).  I should add that Zoe has been studying to present ‘The Life of Coco Chanel’ to her class.  Check her out below – beret and French accent ready to go!  And we made a trip to Boston for cousin Sophia’s Holy Communion.  These girls and their heels!  Adorable..

It’s blooming everywhere and the smell of lilacs on the alley is amazing!  Ezra got some great closeups of tulips on a nearby lawn and my husband cut some excess cherry tree blossoms to put on our mantel.  Warmer temps mean that Zoe gets to show off some flare around her uniform, and even Louie is enjoying the warmer breezes.

It helps to have a pro (E and Z’s dad) take the photos… especially when the gardens are not yet blooming and not quite photogenic!

More shots of the mad dash to find eggs and candy in our yards!

This year we had a Purim Carnival at our synagogue, and then an Easter egg hunt on our alley.  I did something my mom taught me years ago… created bunny prints with a stencil and sifted flour.  And Zoe and I created a picture board for the Purim carnival together (although it later turned into a bean bag toss to win tickets!)

A couple weekends ago we were back in the Boston suburbs and on ATVs again. Clearly I am lagging a bit on posting photos .. but this springy weekend was one that I couldn’t pass up sharing with everyone. What are YOU up to this weekend?
Have a lovely one!

It seems like only yesterday that these were the tiniest little caterpillars in a jar (a gift from my boss when we realized we purchased the wrong kind of fuzzy critters for a photo shoot). I think all those pink petals on our front walk make the butterflies very happy –
