The Children’s Museum of Art in Manhattan does a great street festival each spring, and this year the weather was SO conducive to outdoor activity!  Zoe cannot get enough of the flubber table, and building box cities and a giant yarn bridge outdoors is just an ideal kid activity.  I loved the miniature golf stations that the creative CMA staff made from scratch out of cardboard… can I get a job there?

Brad got an ice cream maker for Christmas and was generous enough to share it with all of us. Since the snow was really coming down for the days following Christmas, we were even able to fill the ball with fresh snow instead of ice cubes! Just load it with cream, crushed mint/chocolate bark (snow and salt in the outside chamber)and then set the kids to kicking it around for 15 minutes. Stir it up a bit and then roll it around for another 15 minutes and voila! We had mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.
