We made a little getaway during the beginning of Feb break. It was cold, but when bundled up .. the beaches in East Chatham and Welfleet area is the best place to be in the middle of winter! And even though many of the seasonal restaurants were closed, P Town always has great art everywhere. We ate at our favorite place The Canteen again (open year round!), and as always – the crispy spicy Brussels sprouts did not disappoint. Even Louie loves Cape Cod now!

We were sledding right behind The Met on Saturday – so it was too easy to escape the cold by ducking in to see some art. The kids indulged me and were well-behaved while I checked out the Islamic and Persian Art galleries. We then visited the Roman antiquities where the kids sketched a few sculptures (I’ve been dying to do this with them for years… yeah, still a bit early but fun nonetheless). After all that hard work, we went to the Egyptian gallery to run around. We ran into our friend Maggie who was getting married in the gallery .. isn’t her dress lovely? It was put together by her sister, the super mom who I’ve mentioned before here.
