Cornwall CT is only 2 hours away, but tends to amass about 7 additional inches of snow for every couple of inches we have in the city. And since it’s a fairly untouched place, we get to return to it blanketed with snow even if nothing has fallen for a few days. The kids loved this – we even squeezed in a science experiment for Ezra to take back to school. Did you know if you throw boiling water into the air at 10 degrees fahrenheit – the water will turn to snow in the air? I didn’t!

We also met a very adorable bear dog at the ski slopes and now my kids want a Newfoundland – yeah, in a city apartment. That could be an entire blog unto itself.
