Our local Diversity Plaza is keeping a memorial and communication center up for people still desperately hoping to hear from loved ones back home. They’ve also been collecting donations to help – and Erza and Zoe are donating with some matched $$$s from their grandparents (thanks!) Here are some photos of the plaza filled with candles and little post-it notes of prayers of hope:

We are back to a more spring-like cold snap today, but a few days ago the temperatures soared up to the high 70s — and Ezra was BEYOND excited that our new alley neighbors wanted to create a lemonade stand with him. I think he was in heaven for a day – we all were. We stayed outdoors and planted things. And Ezra and his crew made enough money to pay back the parents for their supplies, and still have a few dollars in their pockets ! (I hear the ‘competition’ on the other side of the alley donated all their hard earned cash to a charity.) I hope the better weather returns soon!
This girl I tell ya … she loves to perform. Although we are a family of so much mixed ethnicity – she decided to simply wear a spring flower dress to match the backdrop!

Nothing really beats getting to take on Manhattan on foot. We walked all around town this past weekend.. from Central Park to the High Line to Madison Square Park to see strange orbs filled with art. I am so happy the weather is improving – I can’t wait for more treks around the city.
What are you up to this weekend?
all about TAXES and money this time around – check it out!

Believe it or not the kids biked all the way to Citi Field and back – 2 miles each way from our home – and checked out Opening Day. There was a bouncy house, balloon animals made on the spot, and face painting… what better way to welcome the spring weather?

We made a long and crazy road trip to Rochester – where the weather was balmy enough for a day (or 2) to hang in the hot tub. Cousin soup! It was a weekend of hiking and playing in the woods, and of course AMAZING FOOD and performances. Zoe cried when we headed home because she already misses all her big cousins wanting to carry her everywhere!
