Although I do still have some photos in my camera of waist-deep snow and kids playing with giant icicles, I haven’t had a moment to put them on here. We ran away to Florida to see the grandparents and cousins – and got a bit of sun finally! Here’s just a sneak peek of our Legoland trip from our iphones … more to come once the ‘getting back to school’ dust settles:

This is pretty much what every morning has looked like this week. But at about 8 a.m. this morning the sun was out, the sky is finally blue and it’s a balmy 36 degrees so the city is a mess with slush and melting ice everywhere. I’ll take it!

Have a good (and cozy) weekend — and a Happy Valentine’s Day.

In Cornwall there is a field across the street that I am ALWAYS wanting to walk through. In the spring and summer it’s a great place to hike – but then we have to be concerned about ticks (of the Lyme disease persuasion – so I spend a good amount of time obsessing about this.) How great is it that our hosts had new snowshoes and offered them to us – so we could have a snowshoe date? With all the snow covering those fields, we had no worry of ticks. We did however come across some little animal prints along the edge of the field by the woods.
Without children abound – I must admit – it was sooooo quiet and peaceful.
AND I’m totally loving my husband’s new Serpico look these days. Check it out below:
