This is seriously the best kept secret in New York. While it’s an ideal play spot for kids under age 5, I still think Ezra would get a lot of mileage out of many of the toys. The Heimbold Family Children’s Learning Center is on the 4th floor of the Scandinavia House on Park Avenue – and requires a membership if you visit on weekdays, but costs only $8 to visit on Saturdays. There’s a play store, kitchen, lego area, dress-up area, wood train, giant mushroom to sit in and even clogs to try on! Zoe and her friend Mia had a great time while their big siblings were still in school for the day. I will have to take Ezra here sometime to test drive the trains and the lego table. Heck, he’d probably love the clogs too.
